My Home District

My home district is Kishoreganj. It is a district Headquarters. It is about 145 kilometres from Dhaka. The river Narasunda flows through the town. Kishoreganj is a small town, but there are many important places in and around it such as the largest Eid fairgrounds, called Solakia Eid Ground, the well known Government Gurudayal College, the Pagla Mosque, the fort of Isah Khan, etc. The great painter Zainul Abedin, the first woman poet of Bangla literature Chandrabati, two writers of children's literature Upendra Kishore Roy Chowdhury and Sukumar Roy are from Kishoreganj.
